Soaking up the Sun
This weekend I had some major soaking up the sun, but it snowed here, so just run with the metaphor. Friday I slept 11 hours :) I love not setting an alarm clock for that one day of the week. It's awesome! Saturday I did do some homework in the morning but only for a little bit however it was a very productive little bit. Saturday afternoon was the football game. We played against New Mexico which should have been a gimme-game but our defense must have had some bad burritos or something for lunch because they just were not playing up to snuff. This was the first game all season that BYU has actually been behind. NM scored the first field goal to come ahead 3-0. We ended up beating them 21-3, but we really should have played better. Good news of the game: two of our touchdowns were scored in the end zone that I sit in, FINALLY! The whole season the team's been scoring down on the other end of the field, yesterday was good though. The game was also great because it was cold out and it finally felt like fall, actually it was more like winter. But it was the first game I came home to drink hot chocolate instead of apply aloe vera. The football game this upcoming week is on Thursday night so it's going to be difficult to catch, but I'm going to try. The deeper we get into the season to more confidence I have that we'll make it into a BCS bowl. A friend of mine made a good point yesterday: If Utah and BYU are both ranked in the top 10, and both undefeated, the winner of that game OUGHT to play in the BCS championship bowl. Undefeated and in the top 10, it's only fair. We're ranked 9 right now and Utah is 14. Saturday night I watched Walle with some good friends. I hadn't seen it yet but I really liked it! I recommend it. After Walle I migrated to another friend's house and we watched Hercules. She had a bunch of people over and that was fun. Afterwards we sat down at her kitchen table where they had started a puzzle and Kim and I talked for about two and half hours while working on the puzzle. It was great! I miss having downtime.
